Disneyland Kentucky Electrical Parade: Dreamlights! is a modern take on the original Main Street Electrical Parade, before the Idea of the Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade and is the second Surviving Electrical Parade Versions
The parade has frequently seen updates and additions over the years, currently gaining over 6 updates, Like the Tokyo Disneyland Version, but they added Better Updates

The first update to the parade occured in August 2005, This renewal saw the addition of the first two LED-based floats in the parade - based on Monsters, Inc. and Finding Nemo.
- The "A Bug's Life" unit is replaced with units for "Monsters Inc." and "Finding Nemo".
- A new Cinderella float replaces the Pumpkin Coach and Fairy Godmother floats.
- The dancing dolls in the "It's a Small World" unit are refurbished.
- A minor change in February 2007 swapped the positions of the Pete's Dragon and Monsters Inc. units.

2014-2016 Version[]
In July 2015, the parade saw it's next renewal. This renewal appears to heavily see inspiration from the Paint the Night Parade at Hong Kong Disneyland and Disneyland, with the floats being updated to utalize the technology seen in that parade.
- The Blue Fairy and Knights of Light in the opening unit, Elliot in the Pete's Dragon and the entire finale are refurbished.
- The Ladybugs and Snails are removed from the Alice in Wonderland float.
- The Winnie the Pooh unit was replaced with the Tangled unit.
- In 2015, the Monsters Inc. unit was retired, and some of the floats in their units were moved around.
- The Pirate Ship in the Peter Pan unit was refurbished.
- All floats (expectation of Aladdin, Disney Fairies, Toy Story 3, Monsters Inc, Finding Nemo, Cinderella, and Elliott as they all debuted in LED) not mentioned here were re-bulbed to now feature LED lights, similar to "Paint the Night" at Disneyland and the 2009 Disney's Electrical Parade update.

2016-2020 Version[]
As part of Main Street Electrical Parade's 45th Anniversary and the 35th anniversary of Disneyland Kentucky in 2018, the parade was updated once again. This renewal saw some more additions and removals:
- The Beauty and the Beast unit returns to the parade, and replaces the Finding Nemo unit and the Monsters, Inc. unit to promote the new live action movie.
- The "Cinderella" unit was refurbished.
- The unit brings back the pumpkin coach retired in 2007.
- The ballroom and The Clock Tower was updated.
- Now, the unit looks like the unit in the main parade (non-Paris) version.
- The Snow White unit is replaced with the Frozen unit.
- A minor change in March 2019 replaces the "Cheshire Cat" float with a new model, and the Unisys float is refurbished.

The parade resumed operations in November 2021, abit with some changes to corospond with COVID-19 guidelines at the park.
- Removal of the entire Disney Fairies unit.
- Removal of all the dancers.
- Removal of Jessie from the Toy Story 3 float.
- A perspect screen was added to the "Aladdin and Jasmine" float, allowing the two to continue in the parade together.
- Removal of Flynn Rider from the Tangled unit.
- Removal of the Beast in the "Beauty and the Beast" float in the respective unit.
- Removal of Anna from the Frozen unit.
- Removal of the Three Little Pigs from the "Paddle Steamer" float in the "It's a Small World" unit.
- Pluto moved from "The Sun" float to the "Airship" float in the "It's a Small World" unit, while Chip and Dale moved to "The Sun" and vice versa..
- Removal of Geppetto, Lilo and Stitch from "The Moon" unit.
- Removal of José Carioca, Panchito Pistoles and Marie from "The Sun" unit.
Some minor additions include the Unisys float being altered to now read Bioprogy, it's new sponsor, in April 2022, and a new model for Mickey's Dreamlights Train in July 2022.
2023-Now[]
With the easing of COVID-19 restrictions, the parade was reverted back to it's pre-2020 guise. An asterisk (*) means that it returned after COVID:
- The Disney Fairies unit returns to promote the Peter Pan and Wendy live action movie.
- All dancers returned as well.
- The Snow White Unit has returned since 2016
- There are new teacup dancers in Alice in Wonderland unit section.
- All removed characters returned to their original spots.
- There are 2 additional walking Knights of Light at the end of the finale.
- A Remake of The Sponsor's Logo Music is added, to like the unit more legendary
