Talem (https://talem.org) just hit 1000 Unique Visitors in 24 hours! We normally hover around 400~ visitors daily, but it looks like something took off the past few days. Bit late, but here's what I got going for buildspace s5. I actually have started working on this and below are some screenshots of how the product is looking so far! Launching end of the summer with the following 5 APs:- AP Hug (Human Geo)- APCSA- AP Physics 1- AP Calc AB/BCThink Fiveable but with non-paywalled resources or crackap but with a better UI/UX. Built a landing page for a client in <2.5 hours which is probably the fastest I've made something so far. Here's how I build + design fast:🔗 Landing Page Link: https://glmow.netlify.app/➡️ Design Beforehand: Although it's obvious, I think most people don't realize how much of a time-save designing a mockup beforehand in a platform like Figma can be. Figuring out a color palette, fonts, and background designs beforehand makes the programming process easy. You don't want to be figuring out the design as you code.➡️ Build Custom: I know it sounds counterintuitive. Using a page builder is faster than custom programming, right? But the more sites you custom code, the more reusable components you have. I've built over 20+ sites for small businesses/companies and now have a "library" of components that allows me to build quicker and faster. ➡️Have a "Component Library": Adding onto the previous point, building custom allows you to create your own library of components that you can reuse across sites (while also keeping them very unique color-wise, font-wise, etc.)➡️Use the internet: There are so many resources to speed up building time out there on the internet. For example, I use Canva for quick logos + stock images, flaticon.com to quickly paste icons into my project, lighthouse to make sure the page runs smoothly, etc. You can use https://desource.app/ to find some of the best design resources on the internet!Obviously, the site isn't perfect (I still need to hook up links and whatnot), but the design is done!Did I miss anything? Excited to announce the beta-launch of https://desource.app - a massive collection of resources for web-designers and web-developers.There are similar websites out there, but there are many ways we differentiate ourselves:➡️ Users can sign in and leave "reviews" of any resource they'd like➡️ Users can search for resources by prebuilt tags➡️ Users can search through the entire database with keyword searches➡️ Bookmark and save certain resources for later➡️ Submit their resources to add to the databaseCurrently, we only have around ~60 resources, however by the time we officially launch in a few days, it'll be over 200+ development/design resources strong.If you have any resources you made or know of, comment below and I'll add them to the database!
